TWISTER DANCE SlumberJumber Party Themes

By Award-Winning Author Wilhelminia Ripple, Author of
Slumber Parties…What Do I Do?®

Theme 3: “Downtown” Baseball Hat Party

Girls should come ready to root for their favorite home team because they’ll be knee deep competing against each other to see who scores the most runs with Twister Dance DVD game.

Decorations:

               What you’ll need to prepare:

·        Use colored chalk and design “clean-cut graffiti” on the outside of your brick house or on the sidewalks. Chalk the word TWISTER in green and yellow – just like the Downtown section of the Twister Dance DVD game.

·        Decorate the house with baseball items such as pennants, baseballs and bats, baseball mitts, baseball programs, jerseys, and baseball posters.

Invitations:

Write out your party information on a small homemade pennant. Place the pennant in a box of Cracker Jacks, seal the box and deliver with a note saying to “open, eat and find more then a surprise”.

Food and Refreshments:

Dinner: BBQ Chicken and Rib Combos with Side Splittin’ Fries (cheese fries with bacon):

·        Tender-Juicy Chicken Strips

·        Ribs

·        Coleslaw or celery

·        Carrots with ranch dressing dip

Drink: Serve Root Beer in bottles

Midnight Snacks: Peanuts, Cracker Jacks, Baby Ruth candy bars, Cotton candy and soft pretzels

Breakfast: Serve Wheaties cereal, “The Breakfast of Champions”, with milk and orange slices

Activity 1: Play Twister Dance DVD game (Downtown Session)

Activity 2: Team Photo

Take a team photo and give each girl a copy to place in her picture frame

Activity 3: Dance Until You’re O-U-T, OUT!

Divide the girls into two teams and have them compete to see who can get through the Twister Dance DVD game sessions with the least mistakes. The chaperones are umpires. Give the winning team trophies and choose one MVP player who receives an additional trophy.

Favors: Baseballs, pink baseball caps, baseball trading cards, Big League Chew, and picture frames
