TWISTER DANCE SlumberJumber Party Themes

Theme 2: Center Stage – Celebrity Twist-Her

Best friends dance the night away and dress up like “Hollywood” celebrities at this party!

Decorations:

What you’ll need to prepare:

·        Balloons and curling ribbon scattered across on the floor

·        Write guest’s names on silver stars. Hang from the ceiling with fishing wire.

·        Spread silver star confetti over black shiny tablecloth

Invitations:

Buy pillowcases. Write all necessary party information on the cases with a permanent marker. Request that guests bring their invitations to the party to capture other guest’s autographs.

Food and Refreshments:

Dinner: Hors d’oeuvres that the chaperones, as waiters, walk around the room serving

Drinks: Serve sparkling apple cider in plastic champagne glasses

Midnight Snacks: Set up a “Twisted Pretzel Bar” – Include different types of pretzels with assorted mustards, cheeses, and chocolate

Breakfast: Set up a “Celebrity Smoothie Bar” – Let girls create nutritious high steppin’ drinks with assorted fruits, yogurts, sherbets, milk, ice and juices.

Activity 1: Play TWISTER DANCE DVD game (Center Stage Session)

Activity 2: Play Twisted Ponytails

Girls waiting their turn to play the TWISTER DANCE DVD game can take turns playing “Hairdresser to the Stars”. To play, have girls twist each other’s hair into new hair creations – updo’s, twists, braids and new styles – just like the celebrities. Have brushes, combs, ponytail holders and hair spray available.

Activity 3: Celebrity Photo Shoot

Each girl will take turns getting glamorous (have clothes, makeup, and hair items ready). After they are prepped, it’s time for their photo shoot! Have someone be the photographer and give the girls their pictures before they go home.

Favors:

Buy cosmetic bags filled with make-up and accessories, Ring Pops, candy necklaces, sunglasses, and picture frames.
